Website Terms of Service

Website terms and application

These terms govern access to and use of the public Episodic ICCE website, including its information, organisation-based submission routes and Ask AI feature.

These are website terms only. They do not provide access to the operational ICCE platform and do not form platform terms, worker terms, client terms, partner terms or any other commercial or participation agreement. Any controlled access, pilot, service or contractual relationship will be governed by separate documents expressly agreed for that purpose.

1. Operator and acceptance

The website is operated by Augscape Research & Development Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 12996074, with its registered office at Hedley Court, Boothferry Road, Goole, East Yorkshire, United Kingdom, DN14 6AA. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" refer to that company.

By using the public website, you agree to these terms. If you use it for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to act for that organisation in relation to your use and any submission you make. If you do not agree, do not use the website.

You must be at least 18 years old to submit information or use Ask AI. The website is intended for professional and organisational audiences.

2. Status and purpose of the website

The website presents research, development material, public documentation, alignment statements, stakeholder information and emerging proposals relating to Episodic and the ICCE model and system. Unless a page expressly states otherwise, material is provided for general information and evaluation only.

Website content is not legal, tax, financial, insurance, employment, procurement, regulatory or investment advice. You should obtain advice appropriate to your circumstances before acting or refraining from acting.

Nothing on the website is an offer, prospectus, financial promotion, recommendation, guarantee of availability or binding commitment to provide access, investment, funding, insurance, employment, labour, a service or a commercial relationship. Descriptions of planned or developing capabilities are not warranties that those capabilities are available now or will be released in a stated form or timeframe.

Public alignment statements explain relationships identified during research and development. They are not certifications, legal opinions, regulator endorsements or guarantees of compliance by any person or organisation.

3. Ask AI

Ask AI uses automated technology to generate general information about website content and related ICCE topics. Automated responses can be incomplete, outdated, inaccurate or inappropriate for a particular situation. You must independently verify any information that matters to a decision.

  • Do not rely on an Ask AI response as professional advice or as a statement of our final commercial, technical or legal position.
  • Do not use Ask AI to make decisions about a person's employment, pay, eligibility, identity, right to work, access to services or legal rights.
  • Do not submit individual worker information, special-category information, criminal-offence information, credentials, security secrets, confidential material or information you are not authorised to disclose.
  • Do not attempt to bypass safeguards, extract system instructions, introduce malicious content or use the feature to harm, deceive or impersonate another person.

Ask AI conversations may be submitted or relayed to technology providers and may be stored, reviewed, analysed and used to produce statistical readings for operation, security, quality evaluation and improvement, as described in our Website Privacy Policy.

A saved conversation may be accessible to anyone with its share link. You are responsible for checking the conversation before saving or sharing it, controlling distribution of the link and respecting the rights and confidentiality of others. We may disable a share link where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance or enforcement of these terms.

4. Organisation submissions, access requests and events

The website may allow an organisation or its authorised contact to express interest in Episodic or ICCE, request early-stage or special-event access, contribute to a consultation or ask us to follow up an Ask AI conversation.

When making a submission, you confirm that:

  • the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and is not misleading;
  • you are authorised to provide it and to act for any organisation you name;
  • you have given any notice and obtained any permission needed before providing another person's business contact details; and
  • the submission is lawful and does not infringe another person's rights.

A submission is an expression of interest only. We may accept, decline, prioritise, defer or seek more information about a request at our discretion, subject to applicable law. Submission does not guarantee access, admission to an event, participation in a consultation, an investment opportunity, a pilot, a partnership or a response within a particular timeframe.

Unless we have expressly agreed otherwise in writing, submitting material does not create a contract, agency, partnership, fiduciary relationship, duty to negotiate, non-disclosure agreement or obligation to treat the material as confidential. Do not use a general website form or Ask AI to send trade secrets, controlled information, personal worker information or material that requires a specific confidentiality or security arrangement.

5. Acceptable use

You may use the website only for lawful professional, informational and evaluation purposes. You must not:

  • break any applicable law or encourage unlawful, fraudulent, discriminatory or harmful activity;
  • interfere with the website, overload it, probe for vulnerabilities or try to gain unauthorised access to a system, account, API, file or restricted area;
  • introduce malware, harmful code, automated abuse or content designed to manipulate website or AI operation;
  • scrape, crawl, harvest, index or extract website content or data at scale without our prior written permission, except for conventional search-engine indexing that respects our published technical instructions;
  • use website content or Ask AI output to train, fine-tune, benchmark or populate an artificial-intelligence or machine-learning system without our prior written permission;
  • misrepresent your identity, authority, affiliation or the source of a submission;
  • remove ownership notices or imply that we, a regulator, a public body or another party endorses you or your use; or
  • use a share link or any website feature to publish unlawful, infringing, confidential, defamatory or harmful material.

6. Intellectual property and permitted use

The website and its text, structure, graphics, interfaces, software, documents, models, names and other content are owned by us or used under licence and are protected by intellectual-property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

You may view the website and may download public documents where a download is offered, solely for your own internal, non-commercial review and evaluation. You may print reasonable extracts for the same purpose, provided you keep ownership notices and identify the source.

You must not reproduce, adapt, distribute, publish, sell, license, commercially exploit or create derivative materials from a substantial part of the website without our prior written permission. A public document may state separate permissions or restrictions, in which case those document-specific terms prevail for that document.

You retain ownership of material you submit. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, transmit, review and use that material only as reasonably necessary to operate the website, respond to the submission, protect the service and perform the analysis described in the Website Privacy Policy. This licence does not override any separate written agreement that expressly applies to the material.

7. Third-party services, sources and links

The website may link to third-party sites, publications, laws, standards, services or source material. Links are provided for context and convenience. We do not control third-party content, availability, security or privacy practices and are not responsible for them. A link does not necessarily amount to endorsement.

References to legislation, policy, procurement notices, standards or external publications may change after our page is published. You should consult the current official source where accuracy or legal effect matters.

8. Availability, security and changes

We aim to keep the website useful and secure, but it is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, freedom from errors or harmful components, compatibility with every device, or that all content is complete, accurate or current.

We may change, remove, restrict, suspend or discontinue any public page, document, feature, Ask AI function or access route without notice. We may restrict or block use where reasonably necessary to protect users, systems, information, intellectual property or legal rights, or to investigate a suspected breach.

You are responsible for using appropriate devices, network security, browser settings and backups, and for ensuring that anyone who accesses the website through your systems understands these terms.

9. Our responsibility and limits of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing affects any mandatory statutory rights you have as a consumer.

Subject to those protections, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general website or Ask AI information; inability to access the website; a third-party site or service; unauthorised sharing of a conversation link by a user; or information submitted in breach of these terms.

If you use the website in the course of business, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, anticipated savings, goodwill or data, or for indirect or consequential loss. Any separate written agreement expressly entered into by us may set different responsibilities for the service covered by that agreement.

10. Privacy, changes and general terms

Privacy

Our Website Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information associated with the public website.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the website, our practices or the law changes. Updated terms apply from the effective date shown on this page. Your continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

No waiver, severability and transfer

A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be adjusted or removed only to the extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our written consent. We may transfer our rights and obligations as part of a reorganisation, transfer of the website or sale of the relevant business, provided this does not reduce mandatory rights.

Governing law

These terms and non-contractual disputes relating to them are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory right a consumer has to bring proceedings in another part of the United Kingdom or in their country of residence.
